As it was put out there yesterday, the needs have shifted from clothing to financial. This community rocks!!!! At a future date, as needs shift I will put it out there for household items. In the meantime, if you do have household items, please please please hang onto them. The family is currently in a hotel room, 4 people, (a weeks worth clothing x 4 people= A LOT OF STUFF!) in the future if more clothes are needed I will throw it up here. I will continue to accept school supplies and toiletry items especially razors and shaving cream (guys and ladies), also men's small basketball shorts, the older boy needs some more shorts.
Again though we have hit the point where the financial help is critical. The family only has days left in the hotel and are faced with the uncertainty of where they are going to go next. I know businesses around here are collecting. Thank you to Brooklyn's Bar and the All American Buffet, I am sure there may certainly be more so if I didn't list you, please do not feel snubbed as there are so many wonderful people and things happening around this community to help!
At the request of the family, come one come all the services for their Mother/Grandmother Iris will be Monday at Kernan Funeral Service 1012 Fort Street Lincoln Park 48146. Time is unknown at the moment but I will post as I get it!
