St. Pius Catholic School will host its second annual Hoops for a Cause on Saturday, Jan. 26, benefiting Henry Ford Hospital’s Josephine Ford Cancer Institute – Downriver. The event will feature a silent auction, bake sale and T-shirt sale.

Boys and girls ages 9 to 14 from St. Pius will play against children from Wyandotte’s St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $2 a person or $5 a family.

Hoops for a Cause began in 2012 when two St. Pius teachers were diagnosed with breast cancer. Organizers created the event to raise funds for the organizations of the teachers’ choice.
