Wearing White: When Is It Too Much?

Here are some tips on wearing white in summer and then transferring the wares to the fall wardrobe.

"Only wear white from Memorial Day to Labor Day."

This is the golden rule of fashion that everyone seems to remember. However, rules are meant to be broken, right?

As the seasons are seeming to mesh together in trends and style, you will see people wearing white all year round! It all depends on how you wear it and accessorize it!

So when is the line crossed on wearing too much white? Wearing all white isn't just for brides anymore. So ladies–go all out! Just do it tactfully. Mix your fabrics. If you are wearing white denim bottoms, throw on an eyelet or lace top over a cotton one. This will give the outfit depth and texture. But don't stop there. Do all white accessories too! Just make sure they are a "true white." An off-shade will make you look like you threw on a dirty pair of shoes or just grabbed your everyday purse.

If you are afraid of the all white, do all your accessories in colors. And you don't have to go monochromatic!! Use all the colors of the rainbow, even the metallics!!

Don't feel like you have to go out and buy all white either. Everyone should have a white tee folded in a drawer or hanging in the closet. Layer it with a blazer, pair it with shorts, mix it up with a scarf or down play a cute jumper or maxi skirt. Wearing the white tee will give you that comfortable, easy going look & feel!

And don't worry. You can take this look into the fall too!! Just mix it with some sweaters, vests or fall boots and handbags.

And as a tip, if you are accident prone like me–invest in some bleach!!
