how awful, those trees were priceless...really pear trees ????
LW June 14, 2013 at 07:07 pm
They are the ornamental type and don't really produce pears. They are the newest type tree you seeRead More in all the new developments. I don't feel that they belong in a historic neighborhood. Funny how quick they are to cut down trees for developers but don't seem to care or listen to the people who are losing the trees in their neighborhood. Soon there will be a lovely parking lot for us all to look at instead.

Instead of the city promoting its history, waterfront, free parking, quaint shops and restaurants,Read More its all about the medical facilities. Priorities?

could I see a picture of the pool table?
Linda Ellis June 15, 2013 at 03:58 pm

Also if the police have probable cause, which they did, they may enter without a warrant.
David Justice June 13, 2013 at 09:00 am
I understand that Carla but to see the 19 year old face and what they did to him is despicable andRead More unacceptable, have you seen the pictures of what they did to him? He is a thin young teen, how can 2 full size properly trained goons have to taser him in his face and beat his to a pulp? I will tell you this, I gaurentee you I can get this KID under control without tasers and beating him to a pulp, this is exactly what I am talking about EXCESSIVE police force, he had no weapons, no drugs and even if he ran that is no excuse to do what they did, they are THUGS with guns, how would you like your kid being beat like that over RUNNING, this was not a long drawn out police chase this was some squatters who they decided to beat the shit out of him. I also had my sons friend tackled in 6th street pack as they tacked him and broke his collerbone, and again he had ZERO on him, kids today are targets for over zealous goon policing. Not to mention the cop that did this has many complaints for his behavior. Being a good cop is one of the hardest job you can have, unfortunelty young cops today have no morals and think actually conversation is unnescary , they dont even treat people like human beings, I can only hope YOUR kid does not get beat like he did. I have the picture of the 2 goons beating on this kid in the front yard THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND THEY ARE PIECES OF CRAP SO DOING THIS. KARMA IS A $%%$$$%
Carla Vargas-Henley June 14, 2013 at 07:17 am
I apologize for not addressing your son's friend being tackled at the park. What charges were filedRead More against the police department for it? Was there a settlement for the city to pay the boy's medical bills? Why was the boy running from the police?
KATHY SLACK June 7, 2013 at 12:19 pm
Agree, sorry that happened to you! Last year, I had hanging baskets along the inside of my fence onRead More sheperd's hooks, the local kids liked to reach over the fence and purposely knock my baskets off, it is really infuriating!
Crystal Kochoian June 8, 2013 at 07:45 pm
That is terrible. Sorry that happened to you.
Kara Golden June 10, 2013 at 01:52 pm
So sorry to hear that. I would be very upset if my baskets went missing...or were knocked over. ThisRead More isn't the first time I have heard someone say that their things were stolen. I hope that the local police are taking these things seriously.
