UPDATED: 21-Year-Old Wyandotte Woman Killed in Inkster

Jenna Maire Guarascio and her boyfriend were sitting in a vehicle when someone walked up to the car and started firing.

A 21-year-old Wyandotte woman was shot and killed Sunday night as she and her boyfriend sat in a vehicle outside his Inkster home, police said.

Jenna Maire Guarascio and her boyfriend were in the vehicle on Parkwood Street when someone walked up to the car and started firing inside, police said.

The boyfriend's condition is unknown.

Inkster Police Chief Hilton Napoleon said he's unsure who was the target of the deadly shooting.

“We don’t know if the boyfriend was the object of the attack, but it appeared to be because most of the shots were fired in the area that he was sitting,” Napoleon told WDIV-TV.

A candlelight vigil was held Monday night outside Guarascio's Wyandotte home. She and her father had just moved to Wyandotte.

Her family members have set up an online account for donations toward her funeral expenses.

The page reads: "On November 10th, 2013 Jenna Maire Guarascio was shot and killed, the innocent victim of a senseless crime, just 5 days after we celebrated her 21st birthday. We do not have the funds necessary to provide Jenna Maire with a proper funeral. Please, any donation would be greatly appreciated."

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. You can remain anonymous.
