Police: Drunken Woman Hit Parked Car, Struck Tree, Flipped Vehicle

The 46-year-old Lincoln Park woman was treated and released with minor injuries.

A 46-year-old Lincoln Park woman who police say was intoxicated flipped her vehicle onto its roof after hitting a tree near Ford and 7th on Saturday.

The incident began about 7 p.m. when she struck a parked vehicle near Cedar and Cora and left the area, Sgt. Jamie Pouliot said. She then lost control of her vehicle, struck a tree and rolled the car, Pouliot said.

The woman was extracted from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and cited by police.

She received tickets for drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident, having no insurance and driving with a suspended license, Pouliot said.
