The incident happened between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m. Monday on Goddard in Lincoln Park.

A man driving a small black four-door car and wearing a mask approached three Wilson Middle School students as they walked to school Monday morning, according to a letter emailed to parents.

The incident happened between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m. near the Indian Village Apartments on Goddard, between Fort and 15th streets in Lincoln Park, according to the letter from Principal Jason Krajewski.

"The man asked the students to come over to him, to which they replied 'no,'" the letter said. "The students ran the rest of the way to school. ... When the students arrived at school and reported the incident, the police were called."
