Man with Mohawk Tries to Lure Kids Near Truck in Wyandotte

The following information was supplied by the Wyandotte Police Department.

Police are searching for a man with a mohawk who allegedly attempted to lure two, 10-year-old boys near his vehicle Monday afternoon in Wyandotte on Ford Avenue and Second Street.

Officer Joel Gray, who filed the report, said the suspect is in his late 20’s to early 30’s, and engaged the two boys while they were walking home from school.

The suspect, driving a white work truck with green stripes, pulled next to the boys and offered them $100 to solve a math problem.

“The man asked one of the kids ‘what’s 30x30’ and they both responded ‘60’,” Gray said. “The suspect goes, ‘You’re wrong, but come here anyway.’”

The boys ran to one of their homes and told an adult.
