Wyandotte police are searching for a suspected arsonist that set fire to a 2000 red Ford F-250 at about 2:30 a.m., Dec. 3 in the alleyway off Cora Street and Alkali Avenue, officials said today.

According to the report, the owner was in his garage until about 1:45 a.m. The man told police that the truck was loaded with cabinets he had just built.

Police have reserved comments because it is an ongoing investigation.

In a similar incident on Nov. 14, the Wyandotte Fire Department extinguished a fire at about 11: 47 p.m. that destroyed a small wooden utility trailer connected to a red two-door Chevrolet truck. The trailer, which contained scrap and debris, was located in the same alleyway when it caught fire, and belonged to a relative of the previously stated victim.

The cause of the fire is unknown, the report said.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

I could be reading into this.. But it's a little odd that it's two red trucks.
