Dearborn 

A former Dearborn police veteran was sentenced to five days in jail and fined $350 Tuesday for a drunken driving accident last spring.

The 34-year-old man accused of killing two people who worked at a Dearborn Family Dollar store waived his right to a preliminary exam Wednesday in Detroit for failing to report on the sex offender registry. 

Grosse Pointe 

A man charged with murdering a 47-year-old woman in Clinton Township had been warned by Grosse Pointe Farms police to leave her and her child alone in the past.

Trenton 

An assistant principal at Trenton Public Schools, who was charged with embezzlement, waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday.
