Woman Claims Man Lured her to Fake Rental on Craigslist, then Raped Her
A woman thought she'd found an affordable home for her and her 2-year-old, who she said was forced to watch as she was sexually assaulted.
A woman who perused the online classified site Craigslist to find an affordable rental home in Detroit thought she’d found it on Rosa Parks Boulevard.
What she found instead was an abandoned property and a man with a gun who raped her while another man forced her 2-year-old daughter to watch, she told WDIV-TV, Channel 4.
“The man told my daughter to sit on the porch and she actually watched him rape me,” she said.

The woman, who was not identified, said she wanted to tell her story to warn other women to be more suspicious than she was about the ad, and to never go alone to meet someone claiming a legitimate purpose.
“He called my phone and said, ‘Just come by and you can check out the house,’” the woman told WDIV. “He was broadcasting to females that he was selling houses for people who didn’t have houses.”Find out what's happening in Wyandottewith free, real-time updates from Patch.
