Henry Ford to Host Town Hall on New Bridge to Canada
Lt. Gov. Brian Calley and Canadian Consul General Roy Norton will speak at the meeting.
The public is invited to a town hall on the New International Trade Crossing, to be held from 3-5 p.m. Monday at in Dearborn.
The meeting will feature presentations from Lt. Gov. Brian Calley and Canadian Consul General Roy Norton, and is intended to be an informational session for residents to learn more about the proposed new bridge between Canada and Michigan, set to be completed by 2016.
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.

"The Henry Ford is more than a destination for experiencing an unparalleled collection of artifacts documenting the American experience," leadership at the historical attraction said in a statement about their decision to host the meeting. "We are also a site where important community conversations take place."
The bridge has been a contentious issue among Michigan residents.

Supporters of the project say that it will create new and better transportation opportunities, create jobs for Michigan construction workers, and has no cost to taxpayers.
Opponents of the bridge say that it is unnecessary, and a waste of federal funding.
Dearborn's has been among supporters of the bridge.
The town hall will take place in the museum's Anderson Center Theatre. The meeting is free to attend, but registration is required, and must be completed at the meeting's Eventbrite page by noon Monday.
