Wyandotte Election Candidates Answer Patch Questionnaire: William Griggs

Wyandotte Patch sent all 15 candidates running for election or re-election an identical questionnaire to give voters more information on each candidate.

The Wyandotte election is rapidly approaching and to help voters make sound, informed decisions, Wyandotte Patch created a questionnaire for candidates seeking election or re-election in 2013.

Election day is set for May 7.

Resident of  the City of Wyandotte for 71 years

What is your prior political experience?

40 years as the City Clerk of the City of  Wyandotte

What is your prior professional experience?

Insurance underwriter for Ford Motor Credit prior to being elected Clerk of the City of Wyandotte

What made you decide to seek election/re-election?

Because it is an interesting and rewarding position

What issues do you see affecting Wyandotte?

  1. To continue to Maximize services with a shrinking tax base at all levels.
  2. Shrinking population resulting in vacant homes.

What is your plan to address those issues?

  1. To assist Mayor and Council in their efforts to correct the changing dynamics  of the community,
  2. Increase efficiencies in Department operations while continuing to attempt consolidation.
