We've been out to most of the Wyandotte precincts today and when it comes to how busy each has been, we keeping hearing the word "steady." Has that been the experience for everyone so far today? Let us know either way in the comment section below.

Update 1:45 p.m.

U.S. Rep John Dingell (D-15th District) just paid a visit to Yack Arena, which is Precinct 3 here in Wyandotte. Dingell is running against GOP challenger Cynthia Kallgren for a seat in the 12th District. Dingell is seeking his 30th term.

Here is what he had to say about Wyandotte: "It's a great place, wonderful people, great mayor."

Update 12:15 p.m.

Election workers at Precinct 6, located at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, said more than 300 people have already voted there.

Now that it is past noon, just a reminder that some have said there might be longer wait times during the traditional lunch hours, as people will be using the time to leave work and come to the polls. Are you seeing that where you're at?

Update 11 a.m.

We caught up with state Rep. Paul Clemente (D-Lincoln Park) this morning outside of Precincts 4 and 5, both located at VFW Post 1136 at 633 Northline. Clemente is the incumbent state representative, running against Republican Edward Gubics of Wyandotte.

Here is what Clemente had to say: "It's been a good morning so far, great turnout, it's really a good sign for America that people are getting out there and voting."

Update 9:30 a.m.

We have visited two precincts this morning and neither one had a wait. Voters were immediately casting their ballots at both Precinct 2 at the Copeland Center and Precinct 4-5 at VFW Post 1136, located at 633 Northlline.

Both spots also had a very limited amount of election workers handing out campaign literature to voters as they made their way in.

Update 9:17 a.m.

If you're looking for a snack today, check out Tim Hortons, which is giving away free donuts with the purchase of a beverage in honor of Election Day. Those "I Voted" stickers are pretty snazzy, but a free donut is pretty sweet, too.
