Wyandotte Mayor Hopes to be Released from Hospital Soon

Wyandotte Mayor Joseph Peterson took to Facebook on Friday to thank his well-wishers.

While he might be confined to bed rest as he recovers from pneumonia, Wyandotte Mayor Joseph Peterson still has his cell phone right by his side.

He used his phone Friday to post a Facebook update on his condition, as well as to thank those who have sent their best since he was admitted to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital on Monday.

His message read:

I would like thank everyone for all your get well messages. I'm still here In the hospital but getting better. I miss not being at City Hall and home, but Wyandotte Henry Ford has treated me great. A special thanks to the Wyandotte Patch and Jason Alley for such a great story. Hope to be out in a couple of days. I'm very lucky to be the Mayor of Wyandotte and being surrounded by such wonderful friends and caring people.
