Heartfelt Awards Ceremony Draws Staff from Across Wyandotte Public Schools
Many winners fought back tears as they thanked presenters for honoring them with awards.
Eyes welled with tears as 19 staff members at Wyandotte Public Schools received awards, which were presented by fellow staff members Tuesday night at a regularly scheduled board of education meeting.
Presenters stood along side award winners and listed their major accomplishments from the 2012-13 school year, as well as their relationship with other district employees and students.
Staff members from buildings across the district received awards including two new teachers, Adam DeSana and Casey Reeves, who both received the Rookie Teacher award--in an unprecedented tie.
