Homecoming Festivities Kick Off Today in Wyandotte
The homecoming parade, game and alumni social highlight a fun weekend in Wyandotte.
Today kicks off one of the most exciting times of the school year at –homecoming weekend.
Since Monday, students have been celebrating by dressing up in themed attire in anticipation of the big game and dance. A Powder Puff football game was held Tuesday and a pep rally is set for this afternoon.

The Parade
The homecoming parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the office. The parade will travel east on Oak to Biddle, then south to Eureka and back to the school’s parking lot, where it will end.

Included in the parade will be the Wyandotte Roosevelt Marching Chiefs, the homecoming court, the cheerleaders, students from each grade with a banner and members of Students Against Destructive Decisions.
The Homecoming Court
At halftime, the homecoming king and queen will be announced, along with which class won the homecoming banner contest.

The Game
at 7 p.m at Roosevelt Stadium. Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the gate.
The Bears have outscored their opponents this year by a total 171-42. Truman, however, has played tough this year and tonight’s game should be a good one.
Wyandotte Homecoming Social
The RHS Alumni Football Club is holding a at the immediately following the game. The event is free and anyone 21 and older is welcome. The event will be a chance for both alumni and members of the community to mingle and enjoy drink specials, food and a 50/50 raffle.
The Dance
Roosevelt students will dance the night away Saturday at the school's annual homecoming dance. The theme for this year's dance is "Under the Big Top." Students helped pick the music that will be played. The fun goes from 7 to 10 p.m.
