Roosevelt Marching Band Competes at Ford Field
For the second consecutive year, the Wyandotte Marching Chiefs competed at the Michigan Competing Bands Association state finals on Saturday at Ford Field.
The Wyandotte Roosevelt marching band competed at the Michigan Competing Bands Association state finals at Ford Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Wyandotte Marching Chiefs finished 10th out of a field of 12 bands in Flight II, with a score of 73.20.
This year marked the second consecutive year the band qualified for the MCBA state finals. To earn its spot this year, Roosevelt finished strong at MCBA sanctioned events in West Bloomfield, Clarkston and Woodhaven, earning an average score of 70.775.

On Saturday, Wyandotte performed the show Stained Glass, which includes Mass in B minor: Kyrie Eleison by Johann Sebastian Bach and selections from Mozarts’s Requiem.
