Roosevelt High School Class of 2013 Says Farewell

Graduation ceremonies were held Thursday at the Yack Arena for the class of 2013.

Parents cheered as  Wyandotte Roosevelt High School's Class of 2013 accepted their diplomas Thursday night at the Yack Arena.

Parents seemed to compete with one another as they cheered louder and louder for their sons and daughters.

There was no shortage of proud parents. Flashes could be seen from every corner of  the arena. One man expressed his jubilation with the help of an air horn--though, no one seemed to mind.

Senior class president Sarah Noble, salutatorian Emily Taylor and valedictorian Tyler Green gave confident and inspiring speeches.

Superintendent Carla Harting experienced a sudden episode of appearent exhaustion following her speech. Harting was not injured and recovered quickly.

Each graduate's name was called and each received their diploma.

Roosevelt High School Principal Tom Kell declared the evening's proceedings closed--and the former seniors rejoiced.
