Members of the Wyandotte Marching Chiefs are taking their show on the road again.
The Roosevelt High School marching band has been invited to perform in the 55th annual Detroit St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 10. The parade starts at 2 p.m. on Michigan Avenue and 6th Street, continuing down to 14th Street.
The following weekend, the Chiefs will travel to Illinois to perform in the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 16.
While in Chicago, Roosevelt's concert bands, jazz ensemble and orchestras also will perform in the 2013 Windy City Classic festival at Dominican University.
These shows come on the heels of the Chiefs' Thanksgiving Day Detroit Lions performance where they played alongside Kid Rock.
Wyandotte's band has performed at a number of local and national events, including the Indianapolis 500 and the 2009 inaugural parade for President Barack Obama in Washington D.C.
