Betsy and Jewel Bug are Looking for a Sunny Spot

Visit Shelter to Home's Pet Adoption Center to see some of our adoptable cats in a home-like setting. The Pet Adoption Center, located at 266 Oak Street, is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Betsy is a six-year old girl whose owner dumped her at the pound.  She was rescued from the shelter just before Christmas and has been in foster care ever since.  She is becoming more outgoing and playful as time goes on. She has even blossomed into a lap cat! Betsy is very sweet and loving, and has a lot of years left to provide companionship to a new family. She is very mellow and just wants to be loved. Betsy's ideal home would probably be one without many other animals.  She likes to "own" things and gets upset if the other cats in the house crowd her personal space.  She is not afraid of dogs and she is fine with other cats that will leave her alone, but she would not do well in a home with another cat that is playful or aggressive. Betsy has been spayed, tested negative for feline aids and leukemia and she is current on vaccines.

Jewel Bug is such a happy animated girl.  She had a fur coat that was in rough shape so Shelter to Home gave her a lion cut to help her be rid of the constant matting that definitely affected her personality.  Now she runs through the house chasing toys and playing with the other cats in the house.  She also gets along great with the dogs in her foster home.  We can't wait for her fur to grow back in to show what a beauty she truly is.  Jewel loves to sleep in bed at night and she enjoys a fresh glass of water from time to time!  Jewel has been spayed, tested negative for feline aids and leukemia and she is current on vaccines.
