Hunter Matt Named to All-Star Football Game

The Wyandotte Roosevelt senior is amongst 88 guys selected for the 2012 Michigan High School Football Coaches Association East-West All Star Game.

Hunter Matt continues to make the football all-star teams.

The 6 foot 1 inch, 215 pound senior was most recently named to the 2012 Michigan High School Football Coaches Association East-West All Star Game.

Matt will play on the East team, which is being coached by Macomb Dakota High School's Mike Giannone.

The MHSFCA selected 88 players for the team, which will be held June 30 at Central Michigan University.

Game time will be set in the spring. Tickets are $5 in advance and will be available on May 15 at www.mhsfca.com. Tickets also can be purchased at the gate for $10.

In December, Matt was named to the 2011 Detroit News All-State and All-Metro West teams, as well as to the 2011 Detroit Free Press All-State and All-West teams.

He also finished third in an online voting poll for the 2011 Wyandotte Patch Atlete of the Year.
