Schmittou Carries Regional Championship Team

Three-sport athlete and Bears' goaltender is having a standout season.

Chase Schmittou has big shoulders.

The senior goaltender has helped the Bears to a hockey district championship and a 22-4 team record this season. The team is now in a quarterfinal game Tuesday against Pinckney.

“Chase has been told many times this year that the team is going to jump on his back and ride their way to the playoffs,” head coach Mike Quint said.  “He is a player that is very devoted and he has really stepped up and played great this season.”
