Viewfinder: Roosevelt Celebrates Big Win

Staff and students from Roosevelt High School held a pep rally Thursday to celebrate the hockey team becoming the first in school history to win a state championship.

Roosevelt High School held an afternoon pep rally Thursday in honor of the Bears hockey team winning the school's first Saturday.

A citywide parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday and will march down Sycamore east to Biddle to Elm. The Wyandotte Marching Chiefs will lead the festivities. Attendees and those along the parade route are encouraged to wear blue and gold to show their support for the team.

The day has been declared Wyandotte Bears Hockey Day in the city.
