Wyandotte Braves Win Downriver Baseball Association Championship

The youth boys baseball 14U #2 knocked off Allen Park on Friday night to take the title.

The Wyandotte Braves youth boys baseball 14U #2 team captured the Downriver Baseball Association championship Friday night. The Braves won the title with a 14-1 victory over Allen Park at Riverview Community High School. 

Both teams came into the game undefeated. Wyandotte finished its season with a 17-0 record.

Strong pitching performances for the Braves came from Matthew Spehar and Daniel Holston. Drew Plasencia, Todd Sutherby and Marcus Lesko were among the contributors at the plate.

Following the game, the championship trophy was awarded to head coach John Lesko and each player was awarded an individual trophy.

The Braves 14U team is made up of boys ages 12 to 14.
