Wyandotte Football Wins District Title, Advances to Regional Final
Friday's 7 p.m home game is against Detroit Martin Luther King.
Wyandotte Roosevelt's dominating 45-12 win over Taylor Truman on Friday has earned the Bears their third consecutive district championship.
The Bears now move on in playoff football to face Detroit Martin Luther King in the regional final game, set for 7 p.m. Friday at Roosevelt.
That game gives the Bears a chance for revenge as it was King who stopped Wyandotte's 2011 playoff run, beating them in the regional game, 33-0.
Football fans who want to follow this year's playoff action can download a bracket off the Michigan High School Athletic Association's website.
Fans also can vote for the Wyandotte-King game to be MLive's game of the week.
