Wyandotte Players Amongst Many to Skate at Prep Hockey Showcase

Athletes from across the country will descend on Trenton to compete in front of college coaches and scouts at the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League Prep Hockey Showcase from Feb. 6-9.

More than 80 scouts packed into the Kennedy Recreation Center last year for the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League (MIHL) Prep Hockey Showcase, and showcase officials are expecting as many or more this year.

More than 43 top-ranked high school teams, with hockey players from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ontario, are set to play several games over the four-day event, according to an MIHL release.

"There's going to be a lot of great hockey and a lot of scouts come from all over the place," said Tim Beaker, Kennedy's operations manager.
