Wyandotte Roosevelt beat Taylor Truman 24-20 Friday night to stay undefeated in what was a matchup of Downriver League heavyweights.
Wyandotte let an early lead slip away, but regained it in time to grab the victory on what was a rainy night in Taylor.
Damon Singleton had a huge game on offense and defense for the Bears, while D’Aries Davis had a big night, as well, successfully carrying the ball against a tough Cougars’ defense.

The win keeps Wyandotte in first place in the Downriver League and drops Truman to second place.
The Bears head to Woodhaven next week, and with a victory there, would qualify for the state playoffs.
