Four runners up (two boys and two girls) each receive smaller gift baskets.

All of the money collected goes to the Jaycees and is spent on the group's many community service projects, including the group's annual Easter Egg Hunt held at and the many gifts given out to needy children at Christmas.

This year's Beautiful Baby Contest started with 61 entries–much higher than normal.

“Other years, we’ve started out with 30 or 40 and ended up at 60 by the time other people had applied here," event organizer Alicia Bogus said. "And this year we’re starting at 61, so it should be pretty good.”

But it's not too late to enter!

Just visit the Jaycees' booth at the fair, fill out an application form, pay the $15 entrance fee and submit a 4-by-6 photo of your child. Your child will then get his or her very own collection jug and off you go encouraging friends and family to stop by and vote for your child to win.
