Michigan Judge Threatens To Duct Tape Woman's Mouth Shut, Tells Her: 'I Hope You Die in Prison'

Eyerolls and snickers prompted Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain to pine for the death penalty.

Michigan Judge John McBain responded to eyerolls and snickers by convicted killer Camia Gamet – who the judge previously had said committed one of the worst cold-blooded murders he’s ever seen – with some stern words during her sentencing Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court.

“You're going to shut your mouth or I'm going to have some duct tape put on it. You were relentless. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed until he was dead," McBain said, according to a report on WJBK, Channel 2.

"I hope you die in prison,” he said. “If this was a death penalty state, you'd be getting the chair."

Instead, McBain sentenced Gamet, 31, to life in prison.

She was convicted of first-degree murder in a March jury trial. Gamet’s behavior during a victim impact statement by family members of Marcel Hill, who Gamet stabbed two years ago, prompted the judge’s harsh words.
