10 Wyandotte Women Honored as Woman of the Year

Honorees will arrive in a limo and will walk a red carpet into the Wyandotte Arts Center on Feb. 18.

Ten Wyandotte women are being honored as a Woman of the Year by , a nonprofit group that aims to empower women to excel.

The honorees will be recognized during a Feb. 18 gala at the . All will be honored as a Woman of the Year, with three special awards also given out.

The honorees are:

  • Leslie Bishop
  • Barbara Duran
  • Andrea Fuller
  • Mary Gasiewski
  • Laura Kowalski
  • Marge Molnar
  • Alana Paluszewski
  • Sarah Pettigrew
  • Shirley Prygoski
  • Pamela Tuttle

The theme of the event will be I Love Lucy. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each and include dinner, drinks, entertainment and an art auction. is catering the event, which is black tie optional.

An afterglow party will be held at Portofino following the awards ceremony at the arts center.

The guests of honor will arrive in a limo and will walk the red carpet into the arts center, which will be lit up by skylights and the flashing cameras of the paparazzi.

I know a few of these women, and I so proud of them all. Leslie, Laura and Pam have gone through so much together in the past year or so, and exemplify the love of family. Congrats to all the women being honored!
