2 Easter Egg Hunts Set for Saturday in Wyandotte

The Wyandotte Jaycees and the Trinity Lutheran Church & Community Center are hosting free events.

Children looking to hunt Easter eggs are in luck as there are two separate events on Saturday.

The Wyandotte Jaycees presents its annual at .

The fun kicks off at 10 a.m. with face painting and $5 photos with the Easter Bunny. The Easter egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. and is divided into four age categories.

  • 11 a.m. Ages 0-2
  • 11:15 a.m. Ages 3-4
  • 11:30 a.m. Ages 5-7
  • 11:45 a.m. Ages 8-10

Eggs are stuffed with candy and toys. There is one golden ticket per age category. The child who finds that will receive a large Easter basket.

Attendees also can purchase $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win one of four bicycles. A 12" and 20" bike, in both boy's and girl's styles, will be awarded.

Later in the day, is hosting a free at 2:30 p.m.

Visitors will be able to "experience inspirational thoughts from a Roman Centurion at the foot of the cross and joyful news from an angel at the empty tomb." Children 10 and under also are invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt.
