Detroit Princess, Mace Are Looking for New Homes

WAG Animal Rescue and Wyandotte Animal Pound have a multitude of animals available for adoption.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from both  and WAG Animal Rescue.

Vickie Taylor, vice president of WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Detroit Princess the dog and Mace the cat.

Detroit Princess is a shepherd Boxer mix. She is about 11 weeks old and weighs about 13 pounds. She is going to be a large dog, so a fenced-in yard is a must. She was rescued along with her five other litter mates from a burned out house in Detroit.

Mace is a beautiful 6-year-old cat. He still has a lot of spunk in him, so don’t let his age fool you. He is neutered and front declawed. Mace loves attention and gets along with cats and dogs.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from WAG is encouraged to visit the group's website and fill out an application online. The group's animals are on display every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Livonia PetSmart, 13150 Middlebelt. As not all animals are brought up each week, potential adopters are encouraged to email the group to make arrangements for a particular animal to be available to be seen. An entire list, including photographs and descriptions, of all the group's adoptable animals can be found on its website.
