BASF Earth Day

BASF to commemorate Earth Day 2012 at Wyandotte’s Bishop Park

Commemorating Earth Day 2012 and its commitment to sustainability and the environment, BASF will host a tree planting ceremony at Bishop Park on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Park is the main Wyandotte park and is on the Detroit riverfront located on Van Alstyne Street, between Chestnut Street and Vinewood Street.

During the ceremony, BASF management will plant four trees to commemorate Earth Day 2012. Wyandotte residents and visitors are invited to the Earth Day ceremony and tree planting.

“At BASF, we create chemistry for a sustainable future,” said Greg Pflum, Vice President and General Manager, BASF Midwest Hub. “Planting trees in celebration of Earth Day represents our commitment to providing a safe, healthy and sustainable environment for all who live and visit our wonderful city.”

Guests at the tree planting ceremony will be given packages of seeds to plant at home.
