Laid-Back Kitty, Blind Dog Are Up for Adoption

WAG Animal Rescue and Wyandotte Animal Pound have a multitude of animals available for adoption.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from both  and WAG Animal Rescue.

Vickie Taylor, vice president of WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Frankie the cat and Powder Blue the dog.

Frankie is a 4-month-old female kitten. She loves people, other cats and really just about anything. She is not super hyper like the typical kitten usually is.

Powder Blue, 1, is neutered and current on vaccines. He is deaf and almost blind, so you will need patience, love and training with him. He is a great dog and very much worth the time and energy.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from WAG is encouraged to visit the group's website and fill out an application online. The group's animals are on display every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Livonia PetSmart, 13150 Middlebelt. As not all animals are brought up each week, potential adopters are encouraged to email the group to make arrangements for a particular animal to be available to be seen. An entire list, including photographs and descriptions, of all the group's adoptable animals can be found on its website.
