Each day leading up to the event, Wyandotte Patch will introduce you to one of the honorees. Event organizers opted to share only a small portion of each woman's story, saying they wanted to reveal the rest at their gala.

Today, we introduce you to Maggie Molnar:

Known to many as Mrs. Claus, Maggie enjoys caring for everyone, especially small children. She has three sons–Steve, Jeff and Kevin–whom she raised alone. Maggie is a retired crane operator, but still enjoys putting in a day's work. Nowadays, though, that work is done through several volunteer efforts she is involved with.

She takes care of the flower boxes and landscaping throughout the downtown district, as well as can be seen clearing snow off vehicles parked near where she lives. Maggie also is known for her skills in the kitchen, especially with baking. She once worked as a baker at the former Forge restaurant.

"At the young age of 77, (she) keeps moving on," her nominator said.
