Pippa, Mini Man Are Looking for New Homes

WAG Animal Rescue and Wyandotte Animal Pound have a multitude of animals available for adoption.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from both  and WAG Animal Rescue.

Vickie Taylor, vice president of WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Pippa the dog and Mini Man the kitten:

Pippa and her pups were rescued from a local pound. At that time, Pippa was afraid of everything. She was afraid to eat, to go to the bathroom, and would cower and shake if anyone got close to her. There’s been quite a change in just three weeks. It’s amazing the difference a little love and affection can make. This once shy and timid girl, who walked around with her tail tucked the first week, now explores the outdoors, chases squirrels, and constantly wags her little tail. She follows her foster family around the house and loves to sit on laps. She still does not trust visitors, though. She’s believed to be 1 to 2 years old. A quiet home would probably be best for her.

Mini Man is a cute, playful 14-week-old kitten. He loves all toys, especially the laser light. Mini Man was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and is doing great in his foster home. He enjoys being petted and likes playing with both cats and dogs.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from WAG is encouraged to visit the group's website and fill out an application online. The group's animals are on display every Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Livonia PetSmart, 13150 Middlebelt. As not all animals are brought up each week, potential adopters are encouraged to email the group to make arrangements for a particular animal to be available to be seen. An entire list, including photographs and descriptions, of all the group's adoptable animals can be found on its website.
