Syd, Gramps Are Looking for New Homes

WAG Animal Rescue and Wyandotte Animal Pound have a multitude of animals available for adoption.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from both  and WAG Animal Rescue.

Vickie Taylor, vice president of WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Syd the dog and Gramps the cat:

Syd is a 5-year-old Silkie Terrier. He would prefer to be the only dog in the house because he is spoiled. He adores people and loves receiving lots of attention. He is neutered and current on all of his vaccines.

Gramps is a very loving affectionate cat. He wants to be wherever you are and he will follow you around from room to room. He is a lap cat and loves to be held. He is between 7 and 9 years old.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from WAG is encouraged to visit the group's website and fill out an application online. The group's animals are on display every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Livonia PetSmart, 13150 Middlebelt. As not all animals are brought up each week, potential adopters are encouraged to email the group to make arrangements for a particular animal to be available to be seen. An entire list, including photographs and descriptions, of all the group's adoptable animals can be found on its website.
