The adoption fee is $65 for cats and kittens and $95 for puppies and dogs, which covers the cost of the vet work they’ve had done to date.

Applications must be filled out prior to adopting an animal, which sometimes precludes a same-day adoption. However, the forms can be downloaded from the group’s website and submitted beforehand to ensure an on-the-spot adoption.

Baked goods and personalized pet ID tags will be available for sale Saturday. Appointments also can be made for microchipping. The cost is discounted to $10 if paid for on the same day as an animal is adopted. The procedure will be performed at a later time.
