Meet Petey and Petey: WAG Animal Rescue's Dog and Cat of the Week

WAG is an all-volunteer, non-profit (501c3), domestic companion animal rescue organization dedicated to placing homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in permanent, loving, responsible homes.

Petey the dog is a 1 ½ year old Boxer/Pit mix. He weighs 55 lbs, is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, housebroken, and crate trained. This sweet boy loves people and positive attention, and is happy to see anyone who comes to visit. He knows basic commands (sit, stay, down, off), has improved a great deal with his leash walking, and is a quick learner.

Petey loves to play and has a lot of energy but also likes to ‘crash’ and snuggle at night.  He would be best as the only dog in the house with a privacy fenced-in yard. Petey can jump a standard chain link fence. Where he is living now has a standard chain link fence plus the invisible fencing and that keeps him in the yard.

Petey the dog will be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11-3. Come up and meet this sweetheart.
