Meet WAG's Dog and Cat of the Week!

WAG is an all-volunteer, non-profit (501c3), domestic companion animal rescue organization dedicated to placing homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in permanent, loving, responsible homes.

Poor, sweet Ginger was rescued from an animal shelter the day after Christmas. She was at the shelter for almost 2 months and was very pregnant when she was finally rescued by WAG. On January 13th, Ginger gave birth to 10 puppies. The puppies have all found homes and now it’s time for Ginger to find her loving home.

Ginger is a very gentle and loving dog that wants to be with you at all times. She loves belly rubs and will give you kisses. Ginger is a medium sized dog at 43 and is about 2 years old.  The vet thinks she may be part pit bull terrier and part shepherd but this is just a guess. She absolutely LOVES to cuddle with you on the couch and in bed and she gets along with other dogs and cats.

This sweet girl would do best in a home without children because she does like to jump. Ginger does bark at loud noises and does like to chew up her toys. She will need a fenced yard, and is already crate trained, housetrained and knows how to sit. She has been spayed, heartworm tested, dewormed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped.
