Chestnut and Margo are two beauties waiting for a permanent, loving home!!

Wyandotte Animal Adoptioin Center is open for adoptions M,T,Fr. 5:30-7:30, Sat. 10-2 and Sun. 10-1

Chestnut is a gorgeous brindle Greyhound mix.  Poor Chestnut has had four names that we know. She was adopted from one shelter as a puppy where her name was Ariel. She was turned in to another shelter when her owner decided she didn't actually want  a dog that size. Her name then turned into Sassy. She was lucky to have been adopted from that high risk shelter, where she was then called Sadie. Unfortunately she was not much better off in that home, as she lived in a backyard filled with trash. The neighbors called the city to try to get help for her. She then ended up passed to another home, where she ran away. Those owners were tracked down and finally decided to leave poor Chestnut. We aren't sure which name she likes, but we call her Chestnut because it's the name we gave her. We will find a new and better life for her too. Our canine trainer passed her with all A's and proclaimed Chestnut to be a wonderful dog. She is spayed up to date on routine shots/rabies and heartworm negative.

Margo is a very beautiful Domestic Short Hair brown Tabby. She was found as a stray whom no one ever tried to find.  She is a very nice cat, with good manners.  We have  heard many people walk by the cage where she is currently residing say "Wow - that is one pretty little girl."  She has unique coloring and those eyes are AMAZING! She likes  people & would love to meet you. She is spayed, up to date on routine shots/rabies, Feline Aids and Leukemia negative and litter box trained.

Just as a reminder: Wyandotte is now a part of the Downriver Consolidated Animal Control.  The Wyandotte Facility is now an adoption center only.  We do not take intakes.  All intakes are to be taken to the Southgate shelter.  If you are looking for a lost pet, that is where they would be taken, so check there first.
