Wyandotte City Hall houses the offices for several city departments, including the clerk, treasurer, assessor, city council and mayor. Council meetings are held at 7pm on Mondays in the council chambers on the second floor. The waterfront community was incorporated as a city in 1867. In the 1700s the area encompassing Wyandotte today was a village for the Native American tribe known as the Wyandot, a part of the Huron Nation.
