Roosevelt High School, built in Gothic Tudor style of architecture, opened in 1923. The historical building underwent…More a major renovation when voters passed a $7 million bond proposal in 1970. A new gymnasium, swimming pool, locker rooms, cafeteria/auditorium, kitchen, student commons, administrative offices, art rooms, home economics area, stair towers, planetarium and driver education rooms were built. To accommodate the new construction, the football field, baseball diamond and track were relocated.
The school's mission is "to teach all students to be purposeful learners, productive, participating and caring citizens who will establish and accomplish appropriate goals for both self and community."
