Wyandotte City Hall houses the offices for several city departments, including the clerk, treasurer, assessor, cityMore council and mayor. Council meetings are held at 7pm on Mondays in the council chambers on the second floor. The waterfront community was incorporated as a city in 1867. In the 1700s the area encompassing Wyandotte today was a village for the Native American tribe known as the Wyandot, a part of the Huron Nation.

The Downtown Development Authority of Wyandotte, also known as the DDA, helps enhance the commercial core of theMore community through design, business recruitment and promotion of businesses in the downtown area. The DDA is comprised of downtown business owners, the DDA director and the mayor. Meetings are held at 5:30pm every second Tuesday of the month.
