Wyandotte Hospital President and CEO Retires

Jim Sexton officially retired Friday; a successor has to be named.

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital President and CEO Jim Sexton officially retired Friday after 10 years of service. The Grosse Ile resident said hospital officials have yet to decide who his replacement will be. Prior to taking over at Wyandotte in 2002, Sexton served as CEO of Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa. As an active member of the community, Sexton has been involved with such organizations as the Wyandotte Rotary Club and the Wyandotte Public Schools Foundation. Sexton said he originally wanted to work for one more year before retiring. However, with large-scale projects on the horizon for the hospital, such as conversion to electronic medical records, he said it would be best to have a successor start ahead of such work, rather than …
