Lafayette Coney Island prevails in Food Fight poll.
Lafayette Coney Island proved to be the top dog in this week’s Food Fight poll. Patch users said Lafayette Coney Island is the best place for coneys in Wayne County, receiving 33 percent of the vote in the Food Fight poll. Zorba’s Coney Island was second with 29 percent, American Coney Island was third with 21 percent and Senate Coney Island was fourth with 15 percent. Voting took place from Wednesday morning until Friday at 5 p.m. Congratulations, Lafayette Coney Island, and thank you to all who participated in the Food Fight by voting in the poll and leaving comments on the site. We look forward to hearing from you again in the next edition of Food Fight.

We listened, and you have told us your top four choices: American Coney Island, Lafayette Coney Island, Senate Coney Island and Zorba’s Coney Island. To finish off this Food Fight, we need you to vote on one of those four coney places as your favorite. Leave a comment on why you voted, or share your choice on Facebook and Twitter. Hot dogs! Coneys are on the menu for this week’s edition of the Food Fight. Each week, we want your suggestions on the best restaurants, diners and cafes for pizza, barbecue, pasta and more. We want your vote and your opinions for the best entrees in the area. This week we want to know: Who has the best coneys in Wayne County? You can let us know by leaving a comment below. You may submit comments until 5 p.m. Tuesday. From there, we will take the top three nominees and post in an article first thing Wednesday morning. Then it will be time to vote again to decide the Food Fight champion. Voting will continue until Friday at 5 p.m. Then, on Saturday morning, we will announce the winner.
