The Wyandotte Jaycees and the Trinity Lutheran Church & Community Center are hosting free events.
Children looking to hunt Easter eggs are in luck as there are two separate events on Saturday. The Wyandotte Jaycees presents its annual "Eggstravaganza" at Bishop Park. The fun kicks off at 10 a.m. with face painting, balloon animlas, free games, live music and $5 photos with the Easter Bunny by the log cabin. The Easter egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. and is divided into four age categories. There will also be a raffle, and all proceeds from the raffle will go to St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer. Later in the day, Trinity Lutheran Church & Community Center is hosting a free Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to both of these free events.

Find out what candy lovers are buying for Easter at The Candy Store in Wyandotte.
The most popular item at The Candy Store, right now, is the panoramic egg. What's a panaramic egg, you ask? A panoramic egg is a large candy egg that's been hollowed out to allow for even more candy--inside. Store owner Patty Manzella said panoramic eggs have become the most popular item the closer we get to Easter Sunday--March 31. Some of the other popular items are Zots, which come in several flavors, and bacon flavored candies. Customers Mary Bradd and her eight-year-old son, Landon, weren't shopping for Easter candy Thursday morning. Landon had his hands filled with gummy candies including a large gummy alligator and a gummy hot dog. Manzalla said she's enjoyed speaking to thousands of customers, old and young, since she opened The …

Easter egg hunts don't have to be a huge production. To 10 children living in the same neighborhood, their fun came in looking through their friends' yards to find some hidden eggs. Prizes varied from coins to candy and from small toys to pieces of paper with Easter bunny jokes written on them. As you can see from the smiling faces, though, the fun was in the hunt to see what small treasures were waiting inside. Did you hold an Easter egg hunt or partake in someone else's fun? Did you attend services or some other Easter event? Upload some photos to our neighborhood gallery so we can all see how Wyandotte celebrated the day.

Set your Easter, Mother's Day or brunch-with-friends table with a special look that reflects your passions – from elegant crystal to rustic pottery.
Dozens of torn-out magazine pages fill my recipe files, and most don’t have recipes on them. Instead, the worn sheets showcase beautiful images and tips for the second (food is No. 1) most important key to a good meal: dining table ambiance. I recently visited the House of Waterford Crystal in Waterford, Ireland, which charged up my passion for entertaining friends and family and lingering at the table long after dessert is served. Beyond the coffee, after-dinner drinks, chitchat and big laughs that table-lingering offers, it’s just good for the soul to sit back, relax and enjoy a pretty tablescape peppered with everything from elegant crystal to rustic pottery. After watching and listening to the Irish Waterford crystal blowers and …
