UPDATED: Dozen People Protest Alleged Racism at Wyandotte's Wilson Middle School

Protesters allege part-time school worker harassed students last year.

About a dozen people marched in front of the Wyandotte Board of Education office on Thusday morning, rallying against what they call "racism in Wyandotte schools." Chanting slogans such as "the people united will never be defeated" and "Wyandotte school board, you should know, racism has got to go," the protesters marched for about an hour. Some of the protesters were families of Wyandotte students, while others were members of Michigan Emergency Committee Against War & Injustice. According to the group, African American students, along with friends of other races, have been victims of racial threats, bullying and intimidation for more than a year at Wilson Middle School. UPDATED: Parents to Protest Alleged Racism at Wyandotte's Wilson Middle School

Protest to take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in front of the school board offices on Oak.

Members of Michigan Emergency Committee Against War & Injustice are planning a Thursday morning protest against Wyandotte Public Schools. Members plan to march in front of the school board offices at 639 Oak from 10 to 11 a.m. "to protest racism in Wyandotte schools." According to the group, African American students, along with their friends of other races, have been victims of racial threats, bullying and intimidation for more than a year at Wilson Middle School. "This situation has repeatedly been brought to the attention of the principal, the school board, the superintendent of schools and the police who have refused to do anything," protest organizers said in a press release. Yes people have a right to protest no matter what they are protesting but it would be better if it was true. This is crazy!! These girls were in trouble all the time at school. So because of this they are going to pull the racist card out. Un-real.
