Multi-Car Accident Shuts Down Southfield Saturday (PHOTOS)
The Southfield Freeway near Oakwood Boulevard was shut down for four hours while emergency crews cleared the area.
Update, Sunday: According to Channel 4, nine people were injured in the accident on Saturday on the Southfield Freeway. None of the injuries were life threatening. Update, 5 p.m.: Both directions of the Southfield Freeway are now open, according to MDOT. Update, 4 p.m.: Emergency crews are still working on the scene of an accident involving more than a dozen cars on the Southfield Freeway. Northbound Southfield remains closed near Oakwood Boulevard.
